*Accreditation and affiliation fees ($300.00) and deposit ($500.00) are due within 10 days of the student's receipt of the VCMS letter of acceptance and contract. 

 

All fees are non-refundable.  Payments may be made by check, cash or money order.  

 

Tuition Payment Options 

Option 1:  Pay the tuition balance of $5,700.00 in full before the first day of class.

 

Option 2:  The deferred payment plan listed below includes an additional $500.00 fee built into the three payments

Practicum Expenses

Adult Learners are also responsible for field consultant expenses associated with the practicum experience.  Each Adult Learner will have at least four field consultant visits. Additional visits will be added depending upon need during the practicum years.  Practicum Expenses are due on September 1st for four visits.                      

 

Practicum Cost    $400.00  (includes four field consultant visits)

 

Financial Aid

VCMS regrets that it cannot offer financial aid at this time.  The American Montessori Society offers partial scholarships. Applications can be found at the AMS website.

 

Late and Returned Check Fee

A 10% fee is added to payments received 15 days past due. There is a $35.00 returned check fee.    

 

School Discount

Schools will receive a 10% discount on tuition when sending three or more students during the same academic year.  

 

Additional Costs

Students should plan to spend approximately $600-$800 on books, supplies and materials.  Self-directed internships have an additional visit fee of approximately $225 per student.

 

Cancellation Policy

In the event that there are less than five adult learners enrolled by May 31st, the session beginning in June of that same year will be cancelled.  Adult learners who have enrolled will have all deposits and any tuition paid returned to them in full by June 30th.
