Is Handwriting Relevant for the 21st Century?
Taking Another Look
at Handwriting and Penmanship, $50
Tuesday, July 30, 9:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.
Presented by Mary MacIntosh
Many childrens' fingers struggle to manage a pencil, and they may have
more experience with electronics than pencils and crayons. Is the teaching
of handwriting still important in the 21st century? This question raises a
need for review of handwriting at the early childhood level. This workshop
will explore current research on handwriting for the young child and present
lessons and materials for handwriting and penmanship. You will have the
opportunity to discuss and analyze the implications this topic raises. This
workshop is relevant for EC Teachers and School Leaders.
